The WCLRA Communication Committee is pleased to announce availability of a booklet
covering most of the current topics and threats related to our lakes, rivers, streams, and
wetlands. This booklet is an updated version of a larger-format publication our group
produced in 2016 for some special educational events held that summer.
The new version includes messages about our county’s water resources, fishing, aquatic
invasive species vigilance, boating safety, shoreland restoration, aquatic plants, safe drinking
water and septic system maintenance.
WCLRA will be handing out copies at upcoming events, and updating the information
whenever we reprint more. Copies will be included in information packets distributed to area
realtors this spring, to be shared with prospective shoreland buyers. An electronic version can
be downloaded from our website. Larger quantities for lake and river groups can be ordered
directly through White Birch Printing in Spooner. Printing costs would be need to be covered
by the group making the order.
You can view an online version of this booklet here.
