Clean Boats Clean Waters Workshop
Citizens will be trained to be watercraft inspectors by educating boaters and anglers about aquatic invasive species (AIS) such as Eurasian water-milfoil and zebra mussels at local boat landings.

Educational workshop covering the plant’s history, environmental impacts, and control methods. Participants will gain experience with hands-on herbicide application while helping control buckthorn at Hunt Hill.

AIS Monitoring Workshop
The Washburn Co. Land and Water Conservation Department will host this Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) monitoring workshop.The training and resource materials provided in the workshop will help volunteers identify invasives such as Eurasian Water Milfoil, Curly Leaf Pondweed, Zebra Mussels and among others, Rusty Crayfish. The training will also provide instructions on how to organize an effective monitoring team, where and when to look for invasives, and what to do if suspect that you have found an invasive plant or animal. …
