SUMMARY:AIS Monitoring Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Washburn Co.  Land and Water Conservation Department will host this Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) monitoring workshop. \nThe training and resource materials provided in the workshop will help volunteers identify invasives such as Eurasian Water Milfoil\, Curly Leaf Pondweed\, Zebra Mussels and among others\, Rusty Crayfish. The training will also provide instructions on how to organize an effective monitoring team\, where and when to look for invasives\, and what to do if suspect that you have found an invasive plant or animal.  Invasive species identification will take place\, along with some native plant identification. \nThere is no cost to attend the workshop.  The AIS monitoring is designed to be easy and fun for all to participate in.  It is tailored so you can select which species you are interested in and can fit into your schedule.    \nTo register\, please call Lisa Burns at 715-468-4654 or email lburns@co.washburn.wi.us
